Our Code of Conduct


A Code of Conduct is a set of rules that outlines social norms, rules and responsibilities as well as proper practices for an individual, party or organization.

McLeay’s Code of Conduct was design long ago in an attempt to serve our employees and clients and to protect our business and practices. It is an important step in establishing our work culture by an effective implementation throughout a learning process that requires training, consistent enforcement and continuous improvement. The effectiveness it is measured when our office and field personnel feel comfortable enough to voice their concerns and to believe that our company will respond with appropriate action.

Operating in the Oil &Gas industry since 1976 and in such complex environments, our growth and long-term viability were and are based on values, principles, concepts and conduct and below are a few:

  • Respect, Responsibility, Ethics, Honor, Moral Codes, Religious Laws.
  • Commitment to the highest levels of safety and security of everyone including the environment.
  • Compliance with the highest integrity standards, preventing corruption, fraud, bribery, anti-trust and anti-competitive practices.
  • Compliance with all applicable national and international laws and norms.
  • Respect of confidentiality and intellectual & industrial property.
  • Avoidance of insider trading.
  • Use of IT and communication resources.
  • Involvement in political activities.
  • Declaration of conflicts of interest
  • Respect for internationally recognized Human Rights standards
  • We develop our employees and contractors’ professional skills and careers without any discrimination, whether based on origin, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or affiliation with a political and/or religious affiliation.
  • We pay particular attention to employees and contractors’ working conditions, especially the respect for each individual, the absence of discrimination, freedom of association and collective bargaining, as well as the protection of their health and safety. No form of harassment is tolerated.
  • We are committed to create a speak-up climate that will enable employees and contractors to discuss any issues they are interested in.
  • We respect the private lives and more specifically the personal data of all employees and contractors.
  • We recruit personnel solely based on our requirements and the specific capabilities of each individual applicant.

In our company, we make sure that our Code of Conduct it is understood and respected by each and every one of us and business is conducted in line with it. We believe that only working together on this, we will be able to build a sustainable growth, create value for our employees, contractors and clients and reinforce our commitment to a better service whilst contributing to the economic and social development of the country in which we operate.
