As Geology and Geophysics are two sciences related to earth and its structure, both have many similarities and both are extensively used in order to identify and characterize commercially viable oil and natural gas resource deposits.

Aside the fact that at McLeay we continually strive to be at the forefront of our services, we recently decided to use our key strengths and tackle other new areas where using advanced seismic enhancements will enable our ability to find new resources and improve reservoir prediction and characterization.

Our scientists use sophisticated and proven technologies to locate and gain access to these resources deep beneath the earth’s surface and combined with their extensive experience they are specialized in seismic inversion which includes travel time inversion, velocity model building, depth imaging and seismic amplitude inversion for reservoir characterization.

Using Hampson-Russell modules STRATA and AVO.STRATA in order to perform inversions for 2D and 3D volumes in pre/post stack.
AVO is used for pre stack data allowing to determine AVO class signatures for 2D and 3D data sets.
For reservoir characterisation and Stochastic Inversion we use Earthworks Stochastic Inversion and Extended Elastic Impedance modules.
